A Proper Pub for Proper Darts
Looking for a home venue for your darts team? The Brave Nelson has been a local pub on Woodman Road since 1849, and we’d love to host your league nights. You’ll get a friendly welcome, a good atmosphere and a bar that’s ready when the match finishes.
We’re open seven days a week, so there’s always time to get a few legs in.
We’re open until 23:30 midweek and midnight on Friday and Saturday, so long match nights are no problem.
Catch live sport and the big darts tournaments, plus music and events like Fireworks Night.
Darts has always been a proper pub game, and The Brave Nelson has been a proper pub since 1849. Bring your team down for league nights and play in a friendly room with a well-stocked bar. When the last dart lands, both teams can stay for a drink and some food.
Not on a team yet? Grab a few friends and settle a score over a game of 501, or come in on a quiet afternoon to work on your doubles. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to people who hit 180s, and there’s no charge to play.
Planning an end-of-season do, a presentation night or a darts party? Book a table or ask about private hire. You can add a buffet and pay your deposit online.
Long match night? We’ve got you covered with proper pub food:
Pizzas from £8
The Nelson Burger, £12
Wings and goujons, £11
Chips to share, £3.50
Buffet packages from £10 per head, perfect for feeding both teams after the match
